Audacity 1967 Full Custom Chop Top Beetle - $80,000 - DEPOSIT $10,000

$10,000.00

The winner and new owner of Audacity has made the difficult decision to sell the car, rather than to ship it to the UK. As per the rules of the competition (www.charitybeetle.com for full terms and conditions) we will assist in brokering the sale. This means if you missed out and you’d like to buy the car it will be for sale in May, 2024.

Audacity is a full custom, 1967 chop top Beetle, with suicide doors, grafted rear oval window, shaved custom dash, widened fibreglass fenders, as well as fibreglass hood and deck lid. The car was built as a body off, bare metal build with over 1400 hours of labor involved. The entire build was completed at MetalMorphosis Customs in Alabama, with the exception of the transmission which was built by Rusty Bottom Garage in Tennessee.

The car received a custom two-tone paint job featuring Tamco’s Piss Off Pink on the exterior, and Orion’s Aquasphere on the interior. The entire car was then wet sanded and polished to a high gloss finish. Earning an Outstanding Paint award at Houston Autorama in November.

The vehicle also features four wheel disc brake upgrade, with Wilwood calipers, and full air ride system. Four inch narrowed front beam, fully powder coated and painted chassis components carry the colour theme through to the underside. Exceptional quality wheels from Schott Wheels, are sized at 20 x 12” on the rear and 18x8” at the front.

Full new wiring harness was installed, as well as LED headlights and taillights. The shaved custom dash features a fully digital gauge cluster from Dakota Digital. Eight speaker sound system is all controlled remotely via Bluetooth. Keyless remote entry to both doors, plus keyless push button ignition.

Full custom leather and Porsche plaid interior features a half roll cage, race seats with harnesses, leather bound square weave carpet, plaid headliner. Vintage Speed Black Mamba shifter, with custom shift knob and custom switch extensions being added soon.

Brand new zero mile 1915cc engine, with Porsche 911 fan shroud and dual Webers, plus brand new upgraded transmission. Turbo is an option, but currently not installed.

Under the front trunk you’ll find the air ride tank and compressors, amongst more custom leather and plaid upholstery. The under side of the hood is also completely leather lined.

This car is full of custom upgrades and is obviously a one-of-a-kind car which has received a huge amount of online attention. It’s not a car for someone who wants to go unnoticed or blend in. It’s definitely not intended for the purists either. The car is built to show car standards and will definitely win awards as well as hearts and minds. She is also built to be driven.

The car will continue to be shown until May, when she will be ready for handover.

PLACING A DEPOSIT OF $10,000USD NOW WILL SECURE A FINAL SALE PRICE OF $80,000 AND TAKE THE CAR OFF THE MARKET.

THE CAR WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR PICK UP BEFORE MAY, 2024
